I’m Milo and I have been a part of the Woodfeather journey for almost 10 years. I’ve lived with my family in 3 states – Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee – and have truly found my calling in the vineyard. Its my job to sniff out all the happenings around the farm and give instruction when required.
I am working on a video tour of the vineyard-from my perspective of course- so be on the lookout for that in a couple of weeks!
It has been a very cold January. Snow walks are full of discoveries from rabbit tracks to deer tracks, but I always make time to have a little fun.
The vines are dormant this time of year and look pretty covered in snow. In middle Tennessee, grape vines come to life mid-April and we’ll see little green buds opening up and becoming leaves that give food and shade to the grapes as they grow. That’s when I spend a lot of time patrolling the vineyard for deer who keep trying to sample the tender leaves. Until then, I will enjoy the snow.
Remember everyone, that no matter how busy you are, there is always time to play and take a walk!
