For the last almost year, we’ve been working to prepare to build the winery, with all that entails, leveling ground, standing up the shell, insulating, adding metal and concrete, insulating again, and adding more metal, finishing the concrete, electrical, plumbing ; all the weather stops, availability issues, materials issues, delivery issues and then the day finally arrived, actual wine making equipment installation.
Tanks, pumps, pumps with tanks, hoses with ends, hoses without ends, clamps for the ends of hoses, analysis equipment, bottling stuff, corking gear, shrink wrap and the most critical of all.. cleaning supplies and equipment.
The new Woodfeather team worked what seemed endlessly, and the final final, is wonderful. The equipment has yet to be really tested, but its location and utility appear to be fit for duty, as they say.
We’re preparing as best we can for the coming harvest, which really is just around the corner.
Make the journey with us and follow as we prepare and eventually ramp up to full on harvest and production. We’re so looking forward to fall and beginning to make much larger batches of wine, that we can share with all our Woodfeather Community.
